Grand Prairie 10, El Paso 3
A day after plating eighteen runs, the Grand Prairie AirHogs continued their offensive dominance as they beat El Paso by a score of 10-3. The AirHogs scored five runs in the top of second inning. Third baseman Guillermo Martinez batted in two runs with a triple and then came around to score on CF Danny Figueroa's sacrifice fly. AirHogs DH Cesar Nicolas then capped off the five-run inning with a two-run home run. Nicolas led Grand Prairie with three RBIs. AirHogs 1B John Alonso had a double and two RBIs, and C Zane Chavez went 3-for-5 from the plate with a double and a run scored. AirHogs starting pitcher Josh Rainwater improved to 5-1 on the season, allowing five hits and three earned runs in seven innings pitched to earn the win. El Paso C Manuel Mejia batted in all three of his team's runs with a three-run blast in the bottom of the seventh.
