Laredo 4, Amarillo 3 (10 Innings)

The Laredo Lemurs win an unbelievable game as they downed the Amarillo Thunderheads, 4-3 in extra innings. With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Laredo 3B Juan Silverio cleared the bases with a three-run triple to tie the game at 3-3. Then in the bottom of the 10th inning, CF Ty Morrison singled home PR Luke Bailey to give the Lemurs the walkoff victory. Morrison had three hits in five at-bats and both 1B Dustin Geiger and DH Denis Phipps each scored a run in the contest. Lemurs reliever John Brebbia tossed 2/3 of an inning to notch the win.

Sioux City 9, Joplin 4

Sioux City broke a 4-4 tie with two runs in the seventh inning and went on to add insurance runs in the eighth and ninth to beat Joplin by the score of 9-4. Explorers SS Noah Perio led the way offensively going 2-for-5 at the plate with a triple, a home run and four runs batted in. Sioux City 2B Ryan Court also added a home run along with a run scored and two RBI. Explorers' starter Jeff Marquez picked up his fifth win of the season. Marquez gave up four earned runs on eight hits with a strikeout. For Joplin in the loss, LF Steven Tinoco had three hits and plated two runs.

Lincoln 11, Grand Prairie 3

The Lincoln Saltdogs continue their solid play as they win their fifth straight by defeating Grand Prairie, 11-3. Lincoln C Ryan Wiggins had a solid night at the plate going 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBI. Saltdogs 3B Eddie Young had two hits, including a triple, with three runs scored while DH Curt Smith added a home run and three RBI. Lincoln starting pitcher Kevin McGovern evened his mark at 3-3 on the season with the victory. McGovern allowed an earned run on six hits and had eight punchouts.
