
Ameer Ismail Heads to Albion, MI.

GREENSBORO - Ameer Ismail, 2018 NAL Coach of the Year, and Defensive Coordinator for the Cobras, has accepted an Assistant Head Coach position with Albion College, a Division III school in Albion, MI.
"I just want to thank the Carolina Cobras and Coach Back for giving me an opportunity to be a part of one of the top organizations in all of arena football," expressed Ismail. "I was looking forward to coaching alongside Coach Back and winning a championship this season."
"This is just an opportunity close to home at a quality institution, offering everything a coach wants so I really couldn't pass it up," Ismail continued. "I'm going to miss the arena game but I'm also excited to see where this new journey takes me. The Cobras are well taken care of and I have no doubt that they will stay on top."
"We are happy for Ameer to be getting a college assistant head coaching/ assistant defensive coordinator position," head coach Billy Back stated. "He's a hard worker and has put himself in a position to be successful in the coaching field. We are always about advancement no matter a player or a coach. He will be missed but we know he will do great things for the Britts."
The Cobras are currently seeking qualified candidates for the defensive coordinator position. They will be interviewing internally as well as externally to find these candidates.
