
Amarillo Bulls Alumni Notebook - Hampus Gustafsson Recognized by Hockey East

AMARILLO, TX - An Amarillo Bulls Alumni has been recognized by Hockey East.
Hampus Gustafsson, a forward with Merrimack College, was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week.
Gustafsson posted a career-high of two goals, accounting for all of Merrimack's offense at Yale on Saturday night. He finished the game with three shots on goal and a plus two rating for the Warriors.
This season, Gustafsson is tied for third in team scoring with four goals and two assists for six points. In 13 games, the power forward has two power play goals and one game winner.
In other alumni news, defenseman Geoff Fortman earned his first career NCAA point, an assist, on the game winning goal as Canisius College beat Connecticut 3-1.
Forward Matt Johnson fired his third goal of the year as Lake Superior beat Bowling Green 4-3. Johnson's goal was the equalizer early in the third period.
In Division III, forward Blake Roubos helped out on five of his team's six points as Lawrence University and Gustavus Adolphus played to a 6-6 tie. Roubus scored twice and set up three more in that contest.
Defenseman TJ Sherman assisted on two goals including the game winner as Trinity College nipped Wentworth 4-3.
There are some interesting match-ups featuring Bulls Alumni this weekend including Canisius College facing Army, Robert Morris takes on Bentley.
The current Amarillo Bulls hit the ice with a very busy schedule of three games in three nights. On Friday and Saturday the Bulls visit the Lone Star Brahmas at 7:30 pm. Pre-game coverage begins 15 minutes before the puck is dropped with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show. Sonic Sunday concludes the busy weekend when the Bulls host the Odessa Jackalopes at 6 pm. All tickets for Sunday's game will be available at 4 pm at the Civic Center Main Box Office or the Southeast Box Office Gate 8.
