
Amarillo brings back McConnachie

Amarillo, TX 10/21/08 - After a short hiatus, Brett McConnachie was re-signed by the Gorillas this week.
The forward, who played 32 games for Amarillo in 2007-08, scored two goals in the Gorillas' two pre-season games against New Mexico. McConnachie will re-join the team for practice this week and is slated to take the ice in Friday's home game against the Texas Brahmas.
In last year's action with the Gorillas, McConnachie netted three goals and eight points. Previously, the 5'10", 200-pound winger saw action with Fresno of the ECHL and Oklahoma City of the CHL after concluding his four-year career at the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
The Gorillas will be in action twice at the Amarillo Civic Center this upcoming weekend. Friday, they will take on the Texas Brahmas starting at 7:05 PM. Amarillo will host the Colorado Eagles Saturday, as they look to improve their record in 2008-09.
