
Alvarez Suspended for One Game by the MLS Disciplinary Committee

Midfielder Carlos Alvarez was an unused substitute last weekend in the 1-1 home tie with San Jose Earthquakes, but he will watch from the stands this Sunday when the Colorado Rapids tackle Seattle Sounders at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, kick-off 1 p.m MT.
He has been banned for one game by the MLS Disciplinary Committee, for reasons outlined below:
Colorado Rapids midfielder Carlos Alvarez will serve an automatic one-game suspension and will be fined an undisclosed amount for violating the League's policy on entering the field of play/leaving the bench and technical area in the 84th minute of the game against the San Jose Earthquakes on September 27.
