Altitude to Broadcast the "Marcelo Balboa Hall of Fame Night" on July 23rd

DENVER, CO (04-28-05)- The Colorado Rapids announced today that Altitude Sports and Entertainment (Altitude) has changed their Rapids broadcast schedule, replacing the April 30th game vs. the MetroStars with the July 23rd game against the Chicago Fire, live from INVESCO Field at Mile High. The team also announced that Altitude has replaced the September 10th match against the Los Angeles Galaxy with the September 17th game against D.C. United, which will be broadcast live from RFK Stadium. Altitude also will broadcast the May 21st match against the Chicago Fire from Soldier Field.

With these changes in the Rapids' broadcast schedule, Altitude will broadcast live the "Marcelo Balboa Hall of Fame Night" on July 23rd, a game at which the Black and Blue have recently chosen to honor Rapids legend Marcelo Balboa for his induction into the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

All the action of soccer sensation Freddy Adu and MLS Defending Champion DC United will also be available to Colorado fans via Altitude on September 17th at 5:30 p.m. (MT).

The Rapids' April 30th game against the MetroStars at INVESCO Field at Mile High will still be available on TV via the MLS Direct Kick package and on MSG Network as well as on English radio on KYGO-1600 AM. The September 10th game against Los Angeles Galaxy will also be available via HDNet.

The Black and Blue also announced that their match against New England previously scheduled for Saturday, August 20th will now be played on Wednesday, August 17th at INVESCO Field at Mile High and will also be broadcast live on Altitude.

Starting their first year as TV partner with the club, Altitude Sports & Entertainment (Altitude) will begin their first full season broadcasting Rapids games by airing 14 matches live during the 2005 campaign, including nine of the 16 Rapids road matches and five home dates. Altitude will also offer fans a 30-minute pregame show prior to all Rapids telecasts.

In addition to the local TV coverage on Altitude, the Rapids will be featured on seven national TV games, including two away games on ESPN2 and five on HDNet, including the September 10th match against the Galaxy form the Home Depot Center.
