Als welcome four new promising players

Montreal, MontrealAlouettes.com - Montreal Alouettes Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Jim Popp announced today four new young promising players have been added to the roster for the team's upcoming training camp.

Running back Henri Childs, linebacker Mondoe Davis and receivers Tres Moses and Brian Bratton all signed one-year contracts plus an option.

Henri Childs (6'2'', 220 lbs.) has CFL experience after playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers de Winnipeg in 2006. In a preseason game against the Alouettes, he carried the ball the eight times for gains of 82 yards in the second half and caught a 13-yard pass. He also made stints with the Berlin Thunder (NFL Europe) and the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). Childs, 26, played his college ball at Colorado State.

Mondoe Davis (6'1'', 230 lbs.) signed a contract with the New York Jets in 2005, attended the Jets' training camp in 2006 before joining the Alouettes' developmental roster at the end of last season. In 13 games with Delaware in 2004, he made an impressive total of 123 tackles and 7.5 quarterback sacks. He is 24.

Tres Moses (6'1'', 230 lbs.) played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2006. He finished his career with Rutgers as the leading receiver in history with 192 receptions for 2,522 yards and 16 touchdowns. He is 24.

Brian Bratton (5'10'', 190 lbs.) was also with the Ravens last season, before joining NFL Europe's Cologne Centurions. In 10 games with the Centurions, he caught 23 passes for 280 yards and scored twice. He also played for the Atlanta Falcons (NFL). The 24-year-old finished second in Furman University history with 131 catches for 1,826 yards and 18 touchdowns.
