Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, June 2, 2003 - The Alouettes continued training camp on the Fort Saint-Jean Campus today. Here's the daily report.
Two new running backs The Alouettes invited two new running backs at training camp. J.R. Taylor (Eastern Illinois) and Daniel Pugh (Mount Union) will be fighting for the running back position.
The specialist
Kick and punt returner Donta' Greene (Toledo) also joined the team today.
Flory to undergo MRI
Guard Scott Flory will undergo an MRI today to see the extent of the damage to his knee.
Sampson leaves
Linebackers' coach Darryl Sampson left the organization today for personal reasons. The Alouettes now have seven coaches who are employed full-time.
Under the sun
The Alouettes had a long workout today, under the sunny skies. The wind coming from the Richelieu was a blessing for the players sweating on the field. Practice ended at 12:45 p.m.
Falcon eyes
Atlanta Falcons' scout Mark Olson was seen on the sidelines today.
Karikari tied
Rookie Richard Karikari was taped to a goal-post after practice. He needed a good 20 minutes to free himself.
