Toronto, ON – The Canadian Football League is pleased to announce a multi-year sponsorship renewal with Tim Hortons, the nation's leading coffee and fresh baked goods chain. The three-year agreement will entitle Tim Hortons as the "Official Coffee and Baked Goods Restaurant" of the Canadian Football League, including the 2003 to 2005 East and West Division Championship and Grey Cup Games.

The partnership provides Tim Hortons with the exclusive national use of the CFL trademarks, including the recently launched CFL Divisional trademarks, and the official logos of the 2003-2005 Grey Cups. As part of the extensive national marketing partnership, Tim Hortons will also have a strong stadium presence during the key post-season period allowing the Canadian company to capitalize on the exceptionally strong audiences.

David McMullen, Senior Director, Regional and National Promotions for Tim Hortons was enthusiastic about the renewed partnership. "The CFL has galvanized the spirit of communities with the tradition of Canadian football, and we are proud to be a part of it once again," he stated. "The opportunity to generate excitement and reward customers with a unique CFL experience is an integral part of our partnership with the League. "

Brent Scrimshaw, the CFL's Senior Vice President Marketing and Partnerships was equally pleased with Tim Hortons' commitment. "Tim Hortons has been a tremendous long-time partner of this League. They are very much a symbol of Canada and mesh perfectly with the unique nature of this truly Canadian game. The partnership will reinforce and build upon the continuity and consistency of the strong association that has been cultivated between Tim Hortons and the CFL over the years," Scrimshaw remarked.

Tim Hortons is Canada's largest coffee and baked goods restaurant operating over 2,200 stores in Canada and 160 locations in the United States. Since 1964, the chain's menu has evolved from just coffee and donuts, to now include Timbits, bagels, cakes, soups, sandwiches, specialty coffees and more.

The Canadian Football League operates in nine leading Canadian cities. Its teams compete annually for the Grey Cup, Canada's oldest professional League championship trophy. The 91st Grey Cup will be played in Regina on November 16, 2003.
