Alouettes Mourn the Passing of Former All-Star Kelly Malveaux

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes would like to offer their most sincere condolences to Kelly Malveaux's family, friends, and former teammates. The former defensive back passed away on Wednesday at the age of 47.
Malveaux had productive seasons with the Alouettes. In 2004, he intercepted four passes and was named to the East Division All-Star team. The following year, he played 18 games, registering 63 tackles and a quarterback sack while knocking down nine passes. He was part of the Alouettes team that made it to the Grey Cup game in 2005 against head coach Danny Maciocia.
Malveaux suited up in 36 games over two seasons in Montreal. The Long Beach, CA native played in total 156 CFL contests throughout his 10 seasons, beginning with a brief stint with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1999. He later played for the Calgary Stampeders and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before wrapping up his career in Edmonton in 2009.
