Montreal Alouettes News Release

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes will play against the Toronto Argonauts at BMO Field on Saturday, September 9 at 1 p.m. ET (RDS, TSN, 98.5 FM, TSN690). Ryan Dinwiddie's team sits first in the East Division with a 9-1-0 record.

These two teams met last July in a titanic duel. Toronto narrowly won 35-27.

The Argonauts are unbeaten in their fortress (5-0-0) and have an immaculate 5-0-0 record against their division rivals. Toronto has just defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field 41-28 and are on a three-game winning streak.

The Alouettes (6-5-0) have lost their last two games against the Lions and the Blue Bombers. In their last meeting, Jason Maas' team gained over 427 offensive yards, so there's nothing to be ashamed of. Quarterback Cody Fajardo was solid with 308 passing yards.

Rookie receiver Austin Mack could well reach 1,000 passing yards against Toronto. He stands at 971. Running back Walter Fletcher makes a return to action, which could help the team's offence. Offensive lineman Jamar McGloster, also returning to the line-up, will be tasked of finding gaps for him. American linebacker Bryce Notree will see some action, after being on the practice roster. He played well when asked to step up so far this season. In just six games, he has earned a sack, 21 defensive tackles and five on special teams. American linebacker Chris Moore will play his first game in the CFL, against his former team.
