Alouettes In GaspÉsie

November 29, 2007 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Montreal Alouettes News Release

Montreal - Three Alouette players, Étienne Boulay, Matthieu Proulx and Shaun Diner, will visit the Gaspésie region of Quebec from Dec. 4 through Dec. 6 as part of the CN Adopt an Alouette program.

The players will visit the cities of Matapédia, Escuminac, Bonaventure, New Carlisle, Paspébiac, New Richmond and Carleton. In all, seven schools and close to 1,300 kids will be visited on the trip.

Last year, these same three players visited Québec City, Chicoutimi and La Tuque as part of the tour. The experience, they said, was so enriching for both them and the kids they met with, that they all leapt at the opportunity to make the trip again this year.

Started in 1998, the CN Adopt an Alouette program has reached over 450 000 young men and women throughout the province. In order to properly deliver their message, the players undergo a 20-hour training session with a psychologist specialised in communication geared towards students.

Please refer to the itinerary below to follow the Alouettes in Gaspésie.
