
Almond Named Ameriprise Player of the Week

The Ameriprise HiTom player of the week for week one of the season is Zac Almond from Catawba College. The Ameriprise player of the week honor was presented by Danny Pigge. Almond got off to a roaring start on opening night last Saturday against Kernersville hitting 2 home runs including the walk-off 2-run homer to beat the Bulldogs 9-8. The Richfield, North Carolina has kept it up so far in the regular season driving in four runs on four hits including a 2-RBI double on Wednesday night when the HiToms beat Gastonia 21-9. Almond capped off the week with two hits and a three-run homer on Friday night against Martinsville.
