Potomac Nationals News Release
The Potomac Nationals would like to congratulate the All-American Steakhouse on being voted the winner of the 2012 Wing Fling during Wednesday night's home game at Pfitzner Stadium. All-American Steakhouse was declared the champion by the fans in attendance over four other restaurants.
For winning the first annual Wing Fling at the Pfitz, All-American Steakhouse will receive a firework sponsorship for the Potomac Nationals game on August 25th against the Frederick Keys.
"This was our first year doing this event and I would consider this a great success," said Potomac Assistant General Manager Zach Prehn. "Next year I really see us doubling if not tripling the amount of participants in the Wing Fling."
Finishing second in the Wing Fling Was Buffalo Wild Wings and for a runner-up spot they obtain a half page ad in the Potomac Nationals program along with twenty general admission tickets to a P-Nats game.
Hard Times Caf took home the bronze medal for the competition and came away with a quarter page ad in the Nationals program and ten general admission tickets.
The fans in attendance decided the outcome on Wednesday and because so many competed, it looks like they'll get a chance to do so again next year.
"This was a huge hit with our fans. The Wing Fling was our largest Bellybuster Night of the year," said Prehn. "We will definitely have to do this event again next season for our fans."
The Potomac Nationals are celebrating their 35th Anniversary of professional baseball and family fun, for all your ticket needs please call the box office at 703-590-2311 or visit www.potomacnationals.com.
