Windsor Spitfires News Release

(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires announced today that Alexander Khokhlachev has been named the Tecumseh & South Walkerville Vision Centres Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 19th.

In three games, KoKo put up two goals and two assists, as the Spitfires took three of a possible six points from Plymouth, London and Owen Sound.

Khokhlachev had an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Whalers on Thursday night, another helper the following night in a 4-1 win at the Knights, and a pair of goals in a huge performance Sunday - an eventual 5-4 OT loss to the Attack at the WFCU Centre.

In his second season with the Spitfires, KoKo has put up solid numbers: with 22 goals and 40 assists in 52 games. That ranks him first in assists on the club, second in goals and second in points.

League-wide, Khokhlachev is tied for 10th in assists and 21st in points.

Since arriving in Windsor in September of 2010, KoKo has been better than a point-a-game player, putting up 138 points in 119 career games.
