Alex White Pitching Tonight
May 7, 2010 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Kinston Indians News Release
Alex White starts tonight at home for the K-Tribe as they host Potomac for a short three-game homestand, notes attached
Shutout Show- K-Tribe lefties Nick Hagadone and T.J. McFarland combined on a five-hit shutout of Lynchburg last night, giving Kinston pitching their league-leading third shutout of the season. Hagadone started and gave up just 1 hit over 4 innings while striking out 6, and McFarland allowed 4 hits over the final 5 innings for the win.
Webb Gem - Indians outfielder Donnie Webb belted his first two home runs of the season in the first and fourth innings last night, both solo shots that accounted for the only runs in the K-Tribe's 2-0 victory. Both came on the first pitch of the at-bat. He joins Adam Davis as the only Kinston players with two-homer games this season.
Home Sweet Home - The K-Tribe returns to Grainger Stadium after a tough road trip that saw them finish 2-5. They lost 5 straight games before last night's win and lost 3 games in walk-off fashion. Kinston is 6-7 at home this season.
