
Alex Powers Added to All-Star Team

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Blue Wahoos reliever Alex Powers has been named to the Southern League South Division All-Star team as announced by the league office on Saturday.
Powers has been the team's primary closer this season. He leads the team with five saves in as many tries. In 16 games he has amassed a 3.38 ERA with 24 strikeouts against just six walks over 18.2 innings. This will mark Powers's first all-star appearance of his career.
Powers joins Keury Mella, Shed Long and Aristides Aquino on the All-Star team.
The game will be played Tuesday, June 19 at Regions Field in Birmingham.
