Alex Dominique Named to South Division All Rookie Team

The North American Hockey League has released All-Rookie teams for the regular season. The New Mexico Ice Wolves are pleased to announce that forward Alex Dominique was named to the South Division All-Rookie Team.

The NAHL defines rookies as any player who has not played in a junior league or team prior to the 2019-2020 season (any junior league or team in any location, foreign or domestic), or entered the season having played less than 10 NAHL hockey regular season games. Players who meet those criteria are eligible for All-Rookie recognition and honors by the league.

Dominique played in all 52 of the Ice Wolves regular season games during their inaugural season and made the most of his time on the ice.  He led the Ice Wolves with 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists), and hit his stride in the second half of the season, racking up 6 multi-point games after the break.

Ice Wolves head coach, Phil Fox, speaks for the entire organization when he says, "We are thrilled for Alex to get this award. He worked hard  all year on getting better and this accomplishment is a reason of that. This is very exciting for Alex and the New Mexico Ice Wolves organization."

Alex Dominique was a key cog in the Ice Wolves' offense for the team's inaugural season in the league, and with 2 years of junior eligibility remaining, fans have much to look forward to.

Dominique is honored to be named by the league saying, "From the moment I was Tendered to Albuquerque's and Mr. Stan Hubbard's New Mexico Ice Wolves, I felt that under the leadership of coaches Phil Fox, Keenan Kelly and the coaching staff, the Ice Wolves would put a great and entertaining program." He does continue on to not take all the credit himself saying, "We work very hard as a team to make it happen! Thank you for the honors and I would like to share it with all my teammates. We had a good chemistry. And finally, the fans were unreal, the best of the NAHL, our games were sold out every night."
