TACOMA, WA. - Alex Caceres notched the first Tacoma Stars MASL Team of the Week recognition today following his performance in a 5-4 win in Turlock last Friday. With the Stars trailing 3-2 in the third quarter, Caceres scored the team's power play goal of the year on an assist from Nick Perera. Exactly four minutes later it was an unassisted marker from Caceres which put Tacoma up 4-3 with 2:54 to play in the quarter.
Caceres, who joined the Stars during the off-season from El Paso, is tied for the team lead in scoring with three points (2G-1A) early in the 2019-20 campaign.
The Stars return home Sunday December 15 at 5:05 pm for the annual Teddy Bear Toss game against the Ontario Fury. Bring a stuffed animal and when the Stars get their first goal, let them fly on to the field! All stuffed animals go to benefit Toys for Tots. Get your tickets today!
