Ontario Fury Adds a Familiar Face to Roster

Ontario, California - Free Agent Defender Juan Topete who last played for the team in the 2015-16 season has signed with the Ontario Fury the club officially announced today. He rejoins the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) side for upcoming 2019-20 MASL campaign. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The Escondido, California native returns to the Fury after playing with the San Diego Sockers the past two seasons appearing in only 10 games with 1 goal and 1 assist. Topete last played for the Fury in the 2015-16 season where he posted career high numbers including 16 games played, 13 goals and 9 assists for 24 points. Topete will be entering his eighth year of arena soccer.

"I would like to thank the Fury organization for having me back," Topete said. "I enjoyed my time with the team the first time around and looking forward to coming back to the Fury to win a championship."

Topete and the Fury will get right into game action and see where they stack up against their two biggest rivals this weekend as they visit the San Diego Sockers on Friday December 13th and Tacoma Stars on Sunday December 15th. Both games will be LIVE on MASL.tv. The Fury Home Opener is set for Friday December 20, 2019 vs. Tacoma at Toyota Arena with Kickoff at 7:05pm.
