- TODAY'S STORYLINES

Three Lines Of Interest: The Albany Devils are in a stretch of six outings in nine days. They play the fourth game Wednesday against the Binghamton Senators at Times Union Center. Puck drop is at 7 pm and the Devils are coming off a 3-1 victory against the Senators Sunday.

- Joe Blandisi had a goal and an assist and Kevin Rooney and Blake Pietila also scored in Sunday's victory. Ken Appleby improved to 4-1-0 thanks to a 24 save performance. Phil Varone was responsible for Binghamton's goal and Matt O'Connor made 26 saves.

- John Quenneville was returned on loan from New Jersey Tuesday. He made his NHL debut on Dec. 1 at Chicago and his first stint in the NHL included two games. He is coming off back-to-back three point AHL games, producing a goal and two assists in both outings. The rookie has points in five straight AHL games (3g-6a) and points in seven of the last eight contests (3g-8a). Quenneville is tied for the team lead and tied for second among AHL rookies with 17 points, backed by seven goals and 10 assists.

- The Devils are averaging the second-most penalty minutes in the league at 19.5 minutes per game, accumulating 429 minutes in 22 outings. On the flip side, Albany has drawn the most penalty minutes: 451. Opponents are averaging 20.5 minutes per game.
