Albany, N.Y. - June 2, 2004 - The Albany Conquest have announced a series of events in which players, SunSations Treasures Dance Team members, Molson Booty Squad members and mascot Kid Quest will be in the community. Here is a calendar of upcoming events:
Thursday, June 3 - 10:00 am - at Blue Creek Elementary School - Albany Conquest players Terrell Black (OL/DL), Rich Barlette (OL/DL), and Rashon Burns (FB/LB) will speak to about 75 children ages 10 to 11 years of age on topics that pertain to what it takes to become a pro athlete. Barlette is a former student at Blue Creek Elementary School. The players will also be signing autographs. Blue Creek Elementary School is located at 543 Loudon Rd. in Latham, N.Y.
Thursday, June 3 - 5:00 pm - at Alive at Five - Albany Conquest mascot Kid Quest and members of the Molson Booty Squad Promo Team will be on hand to mingle with "Alive at Five" attendees in downtown Albany and distribute Albany Conquest materials.
Friday, June 4 - 10:00 pm - at Latham Bowl - Albany Conquest players, SunSations Treasures Dance Team members, and Molson Booty Squad Promo Team members will hit the lanes for "Rock and Bowl." They will bowl with customers and participate in contests. There will be merchandise and prizes to give away to those who are at the event. Latham Bowl is located at 375 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham, N.Y.
Saturday, June 5 - 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. - at KidsFest with the Colonie Police Department at The Crossings of Colonie - Albany Conquest players, SunSations Treasures Dance Team members and Conquest mascot Kid Quest will be at KidsFest distributing free "Swing into Summer" tickets to the Conquest game against Cape Fear at Noon at the Pepsi Arena on Sunday, June 6. The Albany Conquest's next home game is against the Cape Fear Wildcats at Noon on June 6 at Pepsi Arena. Fans interested in buying tickets can do so at the Pepsi Arena Box Office or by calling TicketMaster at (518) 476-1000. More information is available by visiting www.albanyconquest.com.
Sunday's game coincides with the June 6 on-sale date for individual single-game tickets to the Conquest home game on July 23 that features a special post-game performance by Bon Jovi. Tickets for the July 23 game will go on-sale June 6 at 10 a.m. at the Pepsi Arena Box Office.
