Albany, N.Y. - June 8, 2004 - The Albany Conquest arenafootball2 team, have a announced a series of events in which their professional dance squad, the SunSations Treasures Dance Team, as well as Molson Booty Squad Promo Team members and mascot Kid Quest will be in the community.
Here is a calendar of upcoming events:
Thursday, June 10th â 5:00pm -at Alive at Five â Albany Conquest mascot Kid Quest and members of the Molson Booty Squad Promotion Team will be on hand to mingle with "Alive at Five" attendees in downtown Albany. The festivities are held at Albany Riverfront Park at the Corning Preserve. This week entertainment will feature bands including The Derek Truck Band and Super 400. The rain location is under the 787 overpass at the Corning Preserve boat launch.
Sunday June 13th â 11:30 â 2:00pm â The Albany Conquest Sunsations Treasures Dance Team and mascot Kid Quest will be at the finish line of the American Diabetes Association Cure de Tour. The finish line will be set up at Stillwater Central School in Stillwater, N.Y. Bikers can choose to ride a 10, 25, 50 or 100-mile course to help raise money for the prevention and finding a cure for diabetes. Come out with the Albany Conquest to support a great cause.
Sunday June 13th â 1:00pm â Members of the Sunsations Treasure Dance team will be attending the "Let's Make a Difference Benefit for Holly Teneyck" at Everyday's in Albany, N.Y. The benefit is to raise money for a young girl who had her wheelchair stolen. The money raised will be used to send her and her family to Disney World in Florida. Everyday's is located at 2012 Central Ave. Various bands and local entertainment will also be in attendance. Stop by and support Holly and her family.
This week the Albany Conquest will take on the Arkansas Twisters on Saturday, June 12. The game will be broadcast live from North Little Rock, Ark. on UPN Capital Region at 8 p.m. EST.
The Conquest's next home game is against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers on Friday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pepsi Arena and will feature a post-game concert by Blue Oyster Cult. Tickets may be purchased by calling TicketMaster at (518) 476-1000, by visiting www.albanyconquest.com and clicking onto the TicketMaster icon or at the Pepsi Arena Box Office.
