
Airhogs Fall In Series Finale 3-0

LAREDO, Texas - The AirHogs fell to the Laredo Lemurs 3-0 Wednesday at Uni-Trade Stadium. Starter David Wayne Russo fired 6 innings of 1-run, 5-hit ball but suffered the loss.
The AirHogs were held to just 4 hits over 8 frames by Laredo starter Ryan Beckman, who picked up his 7th win with the scoreless start.
Lemurs 1st baseman Abel Nieves went deep off Russo in the bottom of the 1st, putting the home team up 1-0 early. Russo bore down after though, at one point retiring 9 straight to keep it 1-0 before turning the ball over to Cody Culp in the 7th.
Laredo tagged the 2nd AirHogs relief man Jack Karraker for 2 runs on a double, a triple, and an error in the bottom half of the 8th. Jeff Inman earned his 12th save of the year with a scoreless 9th.
The AirHogs (28-55) enjoy an off day tomorrow before opening a 3-game series vs. the Kansas City T-Bones at CommunityAmerica Ballpark Friday at 7:05.
