
Ahmed Hamdi Called up by Egypt

MONTREAL - CF Montréal midfielder Ahmed Hamdi has been selected by the Egyptian national team to take part in the current camp, from May 30th to June 14th.
Egypt is preparing to play two qualifying matches for the African Cup of Nations, on June 5th against Guinea, in Cairo, then on June 9th against Ethiopia -game to be played in Malawi. An international friendly match could also be added to the Pharaohs' schedule.
Since joining the Club in 2021, Hamdi has played 29 MLS regular season games, including 11 starts, accumulating 1,140 minutes of play, tallying two goals and one assist.
On the international stage, the 24-year-old midfielder has five caps with the Egyptian U-23 team.
