AHL Announces Suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

- Portland Pirates defenseman Dean Arsene has been suspended for four (4) games as a consequence of his illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at Manchester on Jan. 15.

Arsene will miss Portland's games Wednesday (Jan. 18) vs. Connecticut, Friday (Jan. 20) vs. Springfield, Saturday (Jan. 21) vs. St. John's and Jan. 27 vs. Springfield.

- Portland Pirates defenseman Maxim Goncharov has been suspended for two (2) games as a result of a boarding incident in a game vs. Springfield on Jan. 14.

Goncharov will miss Portland's games Wednesday (Jan. 18) vs. Connecticut and Friday (Jan. 20) vs. Springfield.

- Rochester Americans defenseman Shaone Morrisonn has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of his illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game vs. Hamilton on Jan. 14.

Morrisonn will miss Rochester's games Thursday (Jan. 19) and Friday (Jan. 20) vs. Oklahoma City and Saturday (Jan. 21) at Grand Rapids.
