AHL Announces Schedule Format For 2006-07

Syracuse, NY (June 28, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the American Hockey League has released its schedule format for the 2006-07 season.

The Crunch will play 40 games against their North Division foes (Rochester 12, Hamilton 8, Toronto 8, Manitoba 8 and Grand Rapids 4). Syracuse also has 10 contests against the West Division (2 each against Chicago, Houston, Iowa, Omaha and San Antonio). In addition, the Crunch will face-off against the East Division 28 times (Albany 8, Binghamton 8, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 8, Hershey 2 and Philadelphia 2). Syracuse will face the Atlantic Division Springfield Falcons twice during the regular season.

The breakdown of the Crunch's 2006-07 schedule format follows:
