Idaho Steelheads News Release

(Boise, ID) - The American Hockey League's Texas Stars recalled goaltender Adrien Lemay from Quad City of the Central Hockey league and then assigned the 21-year-old to the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.

Lemay, who is under contract with the AHL's Stars, will start in goal Friday night when the Steelheads play the Ontario Reign (8 PM Mtn, KTIK 1350 AM).

Lemay (pronounced leh-MAY) has made 20 appearances in the CHL this season, going 12-4-1 with an .887 save percentage. He made his professional debut last spring with the ECHL's Florida Everblades, where he went 1-1 in two appearances with a .914 save percentage.

The Moncton, New Brunswick, native played two seasons of junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Lewiston Maineiacs before turning professional.

The Steelheads now have two active goaltenders on their roster - Lemay and Jase Weslosky. ECHL All-Star and reigning ECHL Goaltender of the Month Tyler Beskorowany, who is property of the NHL's Dallas Stars, is on assignment with the Texas Stars.

Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the Dallas Stars.

Idaho returns to Qwest Arena on Wednesday, March 2, to face the Western Conference-leading Las Vegas Wranglers. It's part of a three-game homestand with games Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday against the Wranglers. It's a "Twice the Ice" week, meaning fans who purchase a $15 ticket to Wednesday's game will have an opportunity to buy a $7 ticket to the Saturday contest. Tickets are available at www.idahosteelheads.com or by calling 208.331.TIXS.
