Rancho Cucamonga, CA-- Devan Ahart hit a tie-breaking single in the seventh inning, helping to give the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes a 10-7 win over the Lancaster JetHawks on Sunday afternoon at LoanMart Field.

With the game tied at 7-7, the Quakes had runners at second and third with only one out, but Lancaster reliever Jake Dorris struck out Joey Curletta for the second out of the inning, bringing Ahart to the plate. Hitless on the day, Ahart picked the perfect time for his one and only hit, as he looped a two-out single to left field, scoring Edwin Rios and Michael Ahmed to make it 9-7. Dian Toscano followed with an RBI triple off the fence, giving the Quakes some insurance at 10-7.

Adam Bray, who was brought on to get the final out of the seventh, was perfect in both the eighth and ninth innings respectively, as he fanned the final four men he faced over a perfect 2 1/3 innings to notch the win.

Rancho trailed early, but took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning, as Rios connected for a two-run homer, his 13th of the year. Ahmed walked right behind Rios and later scored on a Curletta two-out hit, making it 3-1.

After the JetHawks responded with a run off Quakes' starter Tommy Bergjans in the third, Ahmed delivered his own home run, a solo-shot to left field, his 11th of the season to make it 4-2.

The Quakes looked to have put the game away in the fifth, when they tallied two more runs off JetHawks' starter Brock Dykxhoorn. With Erick Mejia on board at first, Tim Locastro smashed a two-run homer, his fifth of the year to make it 6-2.

After the teams traded runs in the sixth, Lancaster put up a four-spot in the seventh, tying the contest. Quakes' reliever Bubby Rossman, who got the final out of the sixth, was unable to get the last out of the seventh, as he surrendered a three-run homer to Lancaster's Trent Woodward, his third of the year, completing the four-run frame and tying the game at 7-7.

JetHawks' reliever Scott Weathersby (3-5) gave up a lead-off double to Rios to open the seventh, then walked Ahmed, before giving way to Dorris, who allowed the game-winning hit to Ahart.
