AFL Announces 2014 NET10 Wireless Dream Team

DES MOINES - After nearly three months of fan voting, the Arena Football League has announced the 2014 NET10 Wireless Dream Team. Kim Thomas has been selected from the Storm Chasers Dance Team to represent the Iowa Barnstormers.
The NET10 Wireless Dream Team is composed of one dancer from each AFL team who will perform at ArenaBowl XXVII on August 23. The Dream Team will also make appearances throughout ArenaBowl Championship Week.
Two dancers from each market, including Storm Chasers Kim Thomas and Abbie Duis, competed for a spot on the Dream Team. Fans could vote for their favorite dancer on ArenaFootball.com. The dancer with the most votes on each team was selected as a member of the Dream Team.
Kim Thomas was selected to the 2014 NET10 Wireless Dream Team from the Iowa Barnstormers Storm Chasers Dance Team.
"It means the world to have been selected to represent the Iowa Barnstormers as a member of the 2014 NET10 Wireless Dream Team," Thomas said. "It's a special experience because I was selected by the fans, those who have made my experience as an AFL dancer so memorable!"
Thomas has been involved in the dance industry for 24 years, including her four seasons on the Storm Chasers Dance Team. In addition, she looks forward to the opportunity to perform as part of the 2014 Dream Team.
"I am most looking forward to the overall experience: meeting dancers from around the country that share the same passion as me, representing Iowa's #1 sports team the Iowa Barnstormers and entertaining the crowd at this year's Championship Game," Thomas said.
Marissa King, Storm Chasers co-captain, believes Thomas is a deserving recipient of the honor. "Kim has been an asset to the Storm Chasers Dance Team for the past four years. She is a wonderful advocate, team member, and personality on the squad," said King. "Kim has a positive attitude and an enduring passion for dance. I know she will be a wonderful addition to the 2014 Dream Team and we wish her the best of luck!"

ArenaBowl XXVII will air on ESPN on Saturday, August 23. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CDT.
