Arkansas Rivercatz News Release

SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Arkansas Aeros made it two straight over their brethren from Pine Bluff with a 157-111 victory Wednesday night over the Arkansas RiverCatz.

The 157 points was the highest scoring output of the season for the Aeros who went to 7-1 on the season.

"I thought a key again tonight was we were able to play defense for extended periods of time that got us some transition baskets," said Aeros coach Bob Hoffman. "We were able to get some separation there between the second and third quarters. The third was big scoring 50 points on them."

The Aeros got another strong effort from Curtis Haywood who led the team with 39 points. Former Arkansas Razorback and NBA standout Todd Day had 32.

Former Hog Kareem Reid led the RiverCatz (3-3) with 28.

The contest featured seven technical fouls and three ejections, including RiverCatz head coach Ed Corporal.

The Aeros are off until Friday, Dec. 1 when they host the Houston Undertakers.

The RiverCatz travel to Greenville, Miss., on Tuesday for a road contest with the Mississippi Miracles.
