(New Britain, CT)--Akron catcher Roberto Perez drove home the winning run with a single in the top of the 12th inning Thursday night, as the Aeros defeated the New Britain Rock Cats, 3-2, in 12 innings at New Britain Stadium.

Perez slapped a one-out single to center off Luis Perdomo (3-4) in the 12th, scoring Ben Copeland who had singled and stole second.
