Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI - The Admirals outshot the Rockford IceHogs 37-19, but Cole O'Hara was the lone Ads player to find the back of the net as they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Hogs on Friday night in the lone pre-season home game for Milwaukee.

The game was scoreless for nearly 36 minutes before Jake Lucchini sent a long outlet pass through the neutral zone to Cole O'Hara on the far blueline. With a Rockford defender draped on his back, O'Hara carried the puck in on Mitchell Week's and while skating to the left reached back to tuck the puck just past the outstretched leg of the Rockford netminder.

However, just 1:12 later Rockford would tie the score as Connor Mylymok converted on the IceHogs first power-play of the game.

The Hogs grabbed the lead with their second tally on the man-advantage, this one coming from Ryan Gagnier at the 8:33 mark of the third period.

The Admirals looked to gain the equalizer late in the game, pulling netminder Matt Murray in favor of an extra attacker, but the IceHogs foiled any comeback attempt with an empty netter with 64 seconds remaining to bring the score to 3-1.

The Ads wrap-up the pre-season on Saturday night in Chicago against the Wolves before commencing the regular season on Saturday, October 11th at against the IceHogs. The Ads will open up their home schedule on Saturday, October 18th at 6 pm against the Texas Stars.
