Admirals Make First Signing of Summer, Ink Forward Locans

Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, have announced that the club has agreed to terms with forward Roberts Locans for the 2018-19 season. Locans is the first player signed for the upcoming season.

Locans, 22, joins the Admirals after spending the 2017-18 season with Hokki, a team in the Finnish third tier league. In 39 games with the club the Riga, Latvia native recorded just under a point per game netting 37 points (15g, 22a).

The 6-foot-4, 209-pound forward appeared in 19 games with the KHL's Dinamo Riga during the 2015-16 season. Locans played one season in the Finnish second-tier league tallying 21 points (12g, 9a) in 43 games split between KeuPa HT and IPK. He has also represented his native Latvia on the international level on six different occasions.
