Admirals Kick off Training Camp October 1

Milwaukee, WI-Led by first year head coach Dean Evason, the Milwaukee Admirals will open their 2012 Training Camp on Monday, October 1st with their first practice of the season at 1:00 pm at the Kern Center on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
During the team's 10 day camp, which leads up to the regular season opener on Friday, October 12th in Grand Rapids against the Griffins, all practices are scheduled to take place at the Kern Center. Practice is open to the media, and there is coach and player availability after each on-ice session, however please keep in mind that changes in the schedule may occur. Interviews can also be done before practice, but those should be scheduled ahead of time.
Media Day is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, October 17th. There will be a separate notice sent out as media day approaches.
The Admirals will play a pair of pre-season games, beginning Thursday, October 4 at 7:00 pm at the Rockford IceHogs. Their second and only home game will be on Saturday, October 6 at 7:00 pm at the Kern Center against the Chicago Wolves. Tickets are $10 and fans can order advance them in person at the Admirals office at 510 W. Kilbourn Ave or via phone at (414) 227-0550. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Kern Center the night of the game. MSOE students who get their tickets through the school's athletic department will pay just $5.
With the NHL players currently locked out, the Admirals will begin with 27 players in camp (roster attached or by clicking here ), which includes 15 forwards, nine defenseman, and three goaltenders. Of those players, 12 (Forwards Taylor Beck, Gabriel Bourque, Kevin Henderson, Jani Lajunen, Michael Latta, Juuso Puustinen, Ben Ryan, Mark Van Guilder, defenseman Victor Bartley, Jeff Foss, and Scott Valentine, and goalie Jeremy Smith) of them spent significant time with Milwaukee in 2011-12.
