Admirals Advance, Face Chicago in Division Finals
May 1, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
The Milwaukee Admirals topped the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks 5-1 on Saturday night at the Bradley Center to win their best-of-seven series four games to three. The win means the Ads will advance to the AHL's Western Division Finals versus the Chicago Wolves.
The Admirals jumped on the Ducks early, grabbing a quick 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Greg Classen and Greg Zannon, and never looked back. The victory marked the first win ever by the Admirals in a game seven and is just the seventh playoff series win in franchise history.
Milwaukee will now take on their arch-rival Chicago Wolves in a best-of-seven series to determine the West Division Champion. Games one and two will take place on Wednesday, May 5 and Friday, May 7 at the Bradley Center. The puck drop is slated for 7 pm for both contests. The teams will then travel to Chicago for games three and four on May 8 and 10 before returning to the BC for game five, if necessary, on Wednesday, May 12. Game six would take place in Chicago on May 14 at the All-State Arena. Should the two squads require a seventh game it would take place on Saturday, May 15 in Milwaukee at 7 pm.
Tickets are now on sale for games one and two of the series. Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $11 for kids 14 and under. Fans can order tickets by calling Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or by logging on to www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
