Adirondack Thunder News Release
Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that it has signed forward Nikolas Olsson to a contract for the 2018-2019 season.
Olsson, 24, comes to the Thunder after skating four seasons in his collegiate career at Boston University. The 6-foot tall forward recorded 24 points (9-15-24) in his 92-game college career, shortened slightly by a recurring shoulder injury. Olsson was an Assistant Captain his final two seasons with the Terriers, while being named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team after the 2016-2017 season.
Prior to playing in Boston, the Escondido, CA native skated two seasons for the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL, registering 23 points (13-10-23) in 75 games. Olsson also has experience at the national level, playing one season each for the U.S. National U17 and U18 teams. He earned a silver medal with the U17 squad at the World Challenge during the 2010-2011 season.
