New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - To meet demand for fans who hope to see the national teams of Brazil and Portugal meet in an international soccer friendly on Tuesday, Sept. 10, Gillette Stadium officials today opened all remaining seats in Gillette Stadium for sale.
The East side 300s level has now been opened as a full stadium sell-out is expected for the match between the international soccer titans. More than 55,000 tickets to the game have been sold with just one week to go before the match.
Tickets in the 300-level start at $50 and are now on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster outlets and the Gillette Stadium box office by calling 1-877-GET-REVS. There are a limited number of seats in the lower bowl still available through the purchase of special package offers.
"We strongly recommend any fan who is interested in attending this match look to purchase their tickets soon while they are still available," New England Revolution president Brian Bilello said. "We're tracking ahead of sales one week out of the Brazil-Mexico match in 2007, and given the immense interest in both Brazil and Portugal with fans in our region, we're expecting this match to sell out."
Official rosters for the match, which will be played during an official FIFA competition window, feature the teams' top squads, including two of the top three players in the world: Brazil's Neymar and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.
On Sept. 10, the Gillette Stadium gates will open at 6:30 p.m., after parking lots will open at 4:30 p.m. Gillette Stadium parking charges will apply for all fans. The MBTA will also run a train from Boston, with tickets available for pre-boarding purchase at South Station, North Station, Back Bay and Dedham Corp., stations.
