Adams Recalled to AHL

ESTERO, FL - ESTERO - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman John Adams has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Adams heads to back to Grand Rapids where he has skated in two games this season. Overall, the rookie out of Boston College has not registered a point in seven AHL games this year between Springfield and Grand Rapids. The 24-year-old originally signed with the Everblades on November 10 and has notched 13 points (1g, 12a) in 32 games with Florida.

Prior to turning pro, the native of Wayzata, Minnesota completed a four-year career with Boston College with 29 points in 136 games. Adams was drafted in the third round by the Buffalo Sabres in 2002.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, February 24 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. The first 5,000 fans will receive an Everblades poster on Big Brothers/Big Sisters Night when they enter the arena on Friday night.

Everblades 2005-06 group tickets and individual game tickets are on sale now!
