
Adam Cracknell Re-Signs with Blues

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday that the club has re-signed forward Adam Cracknell. The team has also signed forward Cody Beach to an entry level contract.
Cracknell, 25, made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut on Dec. 15 at Detroit and dressed in 24 games overall for the Blues in 2010-11 posting seven points (three goals, four assists) including his first career NHL goal on March 12 vs. Detroit. The 6'1", 216-pound forward also made 76 appearances with the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen, recording 38 points including 17 goals and 21 assists.
The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by Calgary in the ninth round, 279th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 23, 2009.
Beach, 18, spent the majority of the 2010-11 season with the Western Hockey League's (WHL) Moose Jaw Warriors recording 34 points (six goals, 28 assists) and 163 penalty minutes in 40 games. Overall, the 6'5, 185-pound forward has spent the past three seasons in the WHL between Moose Jaw and the Calgary Hitmen totaling 63 points (14 goals, 49 assists) and 395 penalty minutes in 111 games.
The Nanaimo, British Columbia native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 134th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
