
Action-packed homestand includes fireworks, BirdZerk! and all-around family fun

Fresno, CA- The Fresno Grizzlies return home tomorrow night to kick off an eight-game homestand against PCL foes the New Orleans Zephyrs and the Oklahoma RedHawks. These two series will be the only time the Grizzlies will face either team in regular season play. With a win tonight in Tucson, the Grizzlies will come home with a record of 15-17 and will have done better than .500 on their eight-game road trip.
The homestand begins Tuesday, May 10, with Two-for-Tuesday presented by Carl's Jr. where fans can visit any participating Carl's Jr. location and pick up a ticket voucher good for Tuesday night's ballgame scheduled for 7:05 P.M. On Wednesday, May 11, fans can purchase $1 hotdogs all night long on Wienie Wednesday presented by Evergood Fine Foods. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 P.M.
Thursday, May 12, at 7:05 P.M. the Mayor's Fitness Council and the Grizzlies Community Fund team up to present the Health-Handoff where fans are encouraged to bring used sporting equipment to the Tulare gate in exchange for a ticket voucher for a future Grizzlies contest. Items collected at the game will be "recycled" into the Fresno County schools and parks and recreation programs to encourage physical activity. Equipment donations can include: footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, jump ropes and tennis rackets.Thursday night will also be another popular Thirsty Thursday presented by 95.7 the FOX and 104.7, The Valley's Alternative Station, where fans can enjoy $1 drink specials throughout the contest.
The hilarious, family-favorite mascot BirdZerk! presented by Honda North and ABC 30 will entertain fans throughout the game on Friday, May 13, at 7:05 P.M. BirdZerk's crazy antics and hilarious practical jokes never make for a dull moment when he is in town.
Saturday, May 14, is action packed with the Manco Abbott Apartment Home Fair. Manco Abbot properties will have booth displays along the concourse throughout the game to showcase their apartments. Local dance groups will compete between innings in the entertaining Grizzlies Dance-Off throughout the game as well. Saturday night will also give one lucky fan the chance to win $500 by participating in Wild Fling after the game where fans heave tennis balls at hoops of different sizes representing a number of exciting prizes set up around the infield. The evening will culminate with an always-enjoyable Post-Game Fireworks Show presented by Manco Abbott. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 P.M.
The Fresno Bee Family Day presented by The Fresno Bee returns for Sunday afternoon's ballgame on May 15, at 2:05 P.M. Fans can purchase four field-level reserved tickets, four hotdogs, four sodas and one free movie rental certificate from Hollywood Video for only $40. Infielder Mickey Lopez will be the featured player in The Fresno Bee Poster Series Giveaway to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. A pre-game Player Autograph Session will also take place from 12:45-1:30 P.M. on the concourse. It is not too late to sign your youth baseball team up for the Grizzlies Youth Baseball Day where local teams will be paraded around the field and recognized over the PA system before the game. After the game, fans 12 years and younger get a chance to imitate their favorite Grizzlies players in Kids Run The Bases.
Monday Madness presented by Wienerschnitzel returns on Monday, May 16, where fans can purchase two tickets, two hotdogs and two sodas for only $14. First pitch for Monday night's game is scheduled for 7:05 P.M. The homestand will conclude on Tuesday, May 17, at 12:05 P.M. with another Two-for-Tuesday presented by Carl's Jr. Local Valley students will pack Grizzlies Stadium on Making The Grade Day and support their favorite Grizzlies players while enjoying time away from the classroom.
