Aces Win Explosive Game Two of Six-Game Series with Tacoma

RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces won a fiery game against the Tacoma Rainiers tonight, 13-2. The game extended Reno's lead on Tacoma for first place in the Triple-A West, West to two games with sixteen to play.

Reno jumped out to a lead for the second-straight night, opening it up with Alek Thomas crushing a leadoff homer to center field on a 1-0 count. After Seth Beer and Jamie Ritchie reached base, Cooper Hummel hit his second homer in as many nights to make it 4-0.

The scoring kept going in the fourth, as Juniel Querecuto singled to score Ritchie and make it 5-0. The hit extended Querecuto's hitting streak to six games, and his RBI streak to four games.

Reno loaded the bases in the same inning, before Jake Hager unloaded them with a grand slam to make it a 9-0 game.

Tacoma scored twice in the top of the fifth to make it a 9-2 game.

The Aces went on to hang four runs in an explosive seventh inning. Beer led off the inning hit by a pitch, before Henry Ramos blasted a homer just short of the river behind right field.

Ramos was ejected following the home run, along with Tacoma's Donovan Walton, Jose Godoy and Brian Schlitter, and Aces reliever Chester Pimentel. The Aces moved to 6-1 this season when a player or coach is ejected, and 1-0 when multiple Aces are asked to exit the contest early.

Hummel doubled to score Ritchie, and came around to score after a single by Thomas. By the time the inning was over, Reno had a 13-2 lead.

Reno held Tacoma scoreless for the final two frames, taking the game 13-2.
