
Aces Waive Faustine Aifuwa & Deja Winters

Las Vegas, NV - -Las Vegas Aces General Manager Natalie Williams announced today that the team has waived rookies Faustine Aifuwa and Deja Winters.
The Aces selected Aifuwa in the third round of the 2022 WNBA Draft (No. 35 overall), while Winters was signed as a rookie free agent later that evening.
Aifuwa finished 15th in the SEC in rebounding and 7th in blocked shots as a senior. The Dacula, Ga. native finished her career with the second most blocks in program history and the fifth most rebounds. Her 1,302 career points are the 21st most in LSU Women's Basketball history.
Winters is a career 35.1 percent shooter collegiately from long distance who connected on a career-high 41.6 percent as a senior. She earned All-Big Ten honors in her one season with Minnesota, finishing third on the team in scoring and second in made three-pointers. Prior to her time with the Gophers, Winters played two years at Seton Hall and two at North Carolina A&T.
