Gorham, 26, will make his pro debut this weekend after wrapping up his collegiate career in March. The 6'1", 197 lbs. Gorham spent two and a half seasons with UAA after transferring from Ohio State following his freshman year. He tallied 23 points (4g, 19a) in 95 total NCAA games, including 21 points in 83 games for the Seawolves. Originally from Anchorage, Gorham spent time in the BCHL before college. His signing gives the Aces six defensemen for this weekend's series with Alaska blue liners Steve Ward, Sean Curry, Kane Lafranchise, Corey Syvret, and Todd Orlando all inactive.
Earlier this week the Aces also added emergency backup goaltender and Anchorage native, Micah Perletti. Perletti will fill in for goaltender James Reid this weekend. With the additions of Gorham and Perletti, the Aces will have eight players from Anchorage in their lineup this weekend.
The Aces complete their home stand this weekend with their first ever series with the expansion San Francisco Bulls. The games begin Friday and Saturday at 7:15pm and Sunday at 3:05pm. Tickets are currently on sale for all home games at the Aces office, Sullivan Arena Box Office, Fred Meyer locations and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
