
Aces Return Home for Clash with Chicago Sunday

LAS VEGAS - After a four-game road stint which saw the Aces post a 3-1 mark for a 7-1 start to the season, Las Vegas will host the Chicago Sky (5-4) on Sunday at noon PT at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
The Aces are averaging a league-best 91.1 points a game and holding opponents to 79.0 per game, while Chicago, which fell to Los Angeles 77-62 on Friday night, is scoring at a clip of 79.1 ppg. and allowed opponents to put up 79.6 ppg. The Aces are also leading the league in field goal percentage (.483) as compared to Chicago's 42.5% shooting on the year.
Led by Jackie Young's 20.4 ppg. and A'ja Wilson's 20.0 ppg., the Aces offense is bolstered by 14.9 ppg. from Kelsey Plum and 13.5 ppg. from Chelsea Gray, who leads the league in free throw percentage having made all 11 of her tries from the line this year. Gray also is dishing out a 6.4 apg. (3rd in the league) and Plum hands out 4.4 apg. (12th).
Kaleah Copper leads the Sky with 17.1 ppg. to go with 5.3 rpg. and 1.9 apg. Marina Mabrey, 15.6 ppg. and 4.0 apg., and Alanna Smith, 11.1 ppg. and 5.6 rpg., round out the Sky's double-digit scorers. Courtney Williams, who adds 8.6 ppg. to the Sky's scoring, is leading the team with 7.2 rpg. and 5.0 apg.
Sunday's game will mark the first time Candace Parker, who was signed by the Aces in the offseason, will face her former team. She played for her hometown in 2021 and 2022, helping them win a WNBA title in 2021.
The Aces and Sky have evenly split their 40 meetings, and the Aces hold a 2-game winning streak over the Sky.
