Alexandria Aces News Release

Alexandria Aces relief pitcher Brandon Creath announced his retirement on Thursday.

Creath previously pitched in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. A 44th round selection in the 2011 draft, Creath advanced to the Palm Beach Cardinals of the Florida State League this season before signing with the Aces.

In Alexandria Creath struck out 12 batters in six innings pitched in five games while walking seven. He had an earned run average of 3.00 and allowed six hits.

In his professional career Creath struck out 130 batters in 102 lifetime innings, allowing 92 hits and walking 52 with a career 8-9 record and 3.18 ERA.

The Aces activated pitcher Mike Loseke to take his spot on the roster. Cameron Dullnig will move from third base to the bullpen now that Craig Littleman was activated earlier this week.

The Aces are looking for host families for their players! Host families receive two full season tickets for the rest of the 2013 season, have a special "Host Family Night" later this summer, and have "Friends of the Aces" status. Call 318-473-ACES to take part in this opportunity.
