RENO, Nev.- The Aces scored in each of the first four innings-helped by home runs from Cole Gillespie and Cody Ransom-and Reno held on for a 7-4 victory over the Salt Lake Bees Monday night at Aces Ballpark.

Tony Abreu got Reno on the board with a two-run double in the first, giving the Aces an early 2-0 lead it would not relinquish. Evan Frey added a run-scoring single in the second, and Gillespie's fourth home run of the season-a two-run shot in the third-stretched the Aces' lead to 5-0 in the third. Single runs in the fourth and sixth frames, coupled with strong work from the Aces bullpen, proved to be all the insurance the Aces needed.

Barry Enright (3-2) earned the win for Reno, holding the Bees to three runs and seven hits in five innings. Enright accounted for six of the Aces' season-high 14 strikeouts before the bullpen tossed four innings of one-run ball to seal the win. Kam Mickolio struck out four batters in two scoreless innings to earn his 4th save of the season.

Bees starter Bear Bay (2-3) suffered the loss, surrendering six runs in four innings of work.

Gillespie went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Frey picked up a pair of hits out of the leadoff spot. Collin Cowgill went 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to a career-best 15 games.

Reno and Salt Lake conclude the series Tuesday evening at Aces Ballpark. Reno LHP Tom Layne (6-1, 4.62 ERA) will take the ball against Bees RHP Eric Junge (3-3, 3.88 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT, and is Dollar Bone Night, where fans can get ribs for just $1 apiece while supplies last (limit four per visit).

Tickets can be purchased at the Aces Ballpark Box Office, online at www.RenoAces.com or by phone at (775) 334-7000. A variety of partial season ticket plans as well as prorated full-season tickets are available today.
