TONIGHT'S GAME: Is the 3rd of a 4-game road series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (1-1), and the 3rd of an 11-game road trip (1-1)...Reno is coming off a series loss to the Salt Lake Bees...the Aces will travel to Fresno for a 3-game series from 7/8-10, then Tacoma for a 4-game series from 7/11-14, before enjoying the All-Star break.
YESTERDAY: RHP Diogenes Rosario was solid in his spot start, but the Aces fell 5-0...Reno's offense struggled all night, including 14-straight retired batters beginning in the fourth inning...managed just 6 hits on the night, all singles until INF Chris Owings had a double in the ninth.
ACES ALL TIME: The Aces are 341-321 (.515) all-time, entering tonight's contest...Reno is 185-155 (.544) all-time at Aces Ballpark and 156-166 (.484) all-time on the road...this marks the 16th season of Triple-A baseball for the Arizona Diamondbacks organization...D-backs Triple-A affiliates are 1111-1119 (.498) all-time.

ON THE HILL: Tonight, RHP Mark Serrano gets the nod for Reno, in his Aces debut...marks just his 2nd Triple-A outing (also: 7/6/10 with Louisville)...began the season with Laredo of the Independent American Association, before signing on as a Minor League Free Agent with the D-backs on 6/11...was 4-1 with a 2.41 ERA (10 ER in 37.1 IP) across 6 appearances (5 starts) with Laredo, including 27 strikeouts...was assigned to Double-A Mobile, where he went 2-0 with a 3.12 ERA (3 ER in 8.2 IP) across 5 relief outings for the BayBears...was originally selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 6th round of the 2009 draft out of Oral Roberts University...spent 4 seasons in the Reds Minor League system, including a full season with Double-A Pensacola last year...was 7-4 with a 3.95 ERA (41 ER in 93.1 IP) in 41 outings (9 starts) for the Wahoos in 2012, with 95 strikeouts...was born in Downey, Calif., and attended DOwney HS...
also attended Cypress College (Cypress, Calif.) and Oral Roberts University (Tulsa, Okla.).
DYNAMITE DEBUT: RHP Diogenes Rosario, who was making his first start above Class-A, allowed just 3 runs on 7 hits through 6.0 innings last night...struck out 6 in the stretch...retired 9 of the last 10 batters he faced, before allowing a four-pitch walk to lead off the seventh...OF Tom Belza also made his first appearance above the Class-A level yesterday, as Reno's starting right fielder...in his first at bat, Belza collected a hit off an infield single...went 1x3 (.333) on the night...including Belza and Rosario, 13 players have made their Triple-A debuts with Reno this season, 8 pitchers and 5 position players.
