ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Former Aces forward Ryan Walters tormented his old team, and the Rapid City Rush got their first win of the season 5-1 over a flat Alaska Aces team Saturday night at the Sullivan Arena.

Walters scored the first two goals of the game, a rebound goal at 3:17 of the first period followed by a power play strike at 1:56 of the second. Brayden Low also found the back of the net in the second period before the Aces had an offensive strike.

Tim Coffman turned a Rush turnover into his 4th goal of the season at 1:36 of the third period, curling from the left circle to the slot. Coffman was moving right and fired left, top shelf glove-side on Rapid City goaltender Kent Patterson.

The momentum was short-lived. Ryan MacDonald snapped a shot past Aces netminder Kevin Carr just a minute and a half later, then Lindsay Sparks finished the scoring with his 7th goal of the season at 13:57.

Patterson had 28 saves for the win for the Rush...Carr stopped 28 shots in the loss.

The Aces and Rush will complete their three-game series Sunday afternoon at 3:05pm ADT at the Sullivan Arena.
